Ashburton Food Festival returns this year with a renewed focus on community engagement and local produce. Founded in 2011, originally co-run by Ashburton Cookery School and subsequently managed by Born Hectic Events, renowned for their involvement with the Glastonbury Festival, the festival has now been entrusted to a local community group spearheaded by

Dee Kilkelly

Dee says “This year we want to refocus the festival around the local community. We'll be adding in workshops and discussions around health, food production, and sustainability.
We'll also have music, entertainment for kids, and social spaces so that everyone can soak up some famous Ashburton hospitality. The festival will have a new lease of energy, and we hope that it is better than ever.”

Event Highlights

Free Street Food Market: Attendees can savour a wide array of delicious offerings from local vendors, showcasing the best of southwest culinary talent.

Ticketed Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on health, food production, and sustainability, providing valuable insights and hands-on experiences.
Music and Entertainment: Live performances and children’s activities will create a festive atmosphere for all ages.
Social Spaces: Dedicated areas for relaxation and community interaction.

Accessibility and Convenience

To ensure convenient access, a park-and-ride service will be available from South Dartmoor College. Tickets for both the park and ride service and the workshops can be purchased through the festival’s official website, www.ashburtonfoodfestival.com.
