Local Mortgage Adviser Wins First Time Buyer Award at Industry Oscars

Mortgage Advice Bureau South West is celebrating a win at the ‘Oscars’ of the mortgage industry as broker James Webster has scooped the ‘Best Broker: First Time Buyers’ at the recent British Mortgage Awards.

The British Mortgage Awards 2016, held on 7th July at the Westminster Park Plaza in London, were judged by a panel of industry experts and recognised the outstanding achievements of the most deserving individuals in the UK mortgage industry.

The First Time Buyer Award is given in recognition of those who have consistently delivered high quality advice, as well as demonstrating an understanding of the specific needs of the first-time buyer.

James, who has been a broker with Mortgage Advice Bureau for 7 years, comments, “I was completely taken aback by the award win and am so pleased to have been recognised for my work with first time buyers. I have always been heavily involved in first time buyer activity and began my career in a dedicated first time buyer centre.

“My team and I have worked hard to increase the volume of people we deal with, this has meant record numbers. Being able to increase the number of mortgages you deliver is one thing, but the real skill is increasing volumes while still maintaining an excellent experience for your customer.

“My love for this particular sector has stayed with me and I am now in a position where I can share that knowledge. Over the last year I have spent a considerable amount of time coaching and developing other advisors in the business, and I now mentor all new staff coming into the firm.”
