PLYMOUTH CHRISTMAS MARKET - 1st – 18th December / Armada Way

Plymouth's Christmas Market returns to the heart of Plymouth City Centre, 1 - 18 December and will see over 50 stalls in the style of traditional pretty log cabins selling the best arts, crafts and foods from around the South West. New for this year there is Bavarian style bar with heated seating area where you will be able to sit and soak in the atmosphere.

Also new for this year and in the heart of the market we have a large marquee which will be host to a selection of entertainment in the form of choirs and singers performing all your favourite Christmas songs Thursday – Sunday every week.

You will also be able to pick up your real Christmas Tree from Rise Garden Centre who can also be found in the marquee. They are offering a deliver to car service for a donation to charity. Visitors to the market will be able to enjoy an array of local produce to sample or to pick up that unique Christmas gift for that special someone.

TANKUS THE HENGE - 10th December / The Hub, Bath Street

Tankus the Henge are six sharp dressed and bedraggled gentlemen hailing from some of the more eccentric parts of London Town. Their music draws from a multitudinous array of influences including rock, ragtime, reggae, blues, funk, disco, gypsy punk and Django. CHRISTMAS SPEED WINE TASTING - 15th December, 7 – 10pm / Le Vignoble, Royal William Yard

A firm favourite of those who live or work in Plymouth city centre, pop along to Royal Parade on the evening of Sunday 18th and enjoy traditional carols and Christmas readings by candlelight. Refreshments are available; including some delicious mince pies.

HOT CLUB OF STONEHOUSE - 4th November, from 7.15pm / River Cottage Canteen, Royal William Yard

Get your dancing shoes ready for evening of live music with Hot Club of Stonehouse, a toe-tapping, skirt swinging, gypsy swing band. Finish your working week in style and join us for our Canteen Cocktail Club - enjoy two cocktails for £10 from 6pm on this night. Band Set times: 7.15 – 8pm and 8.15- 9pm.


BONFIRE NIGHT - 5th November / Plymouth Hoe

Plymouth will be hosting a bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday 5 November on The Hoe for Bonfire Night. Fairground rides and catering stands will be open from 4pm and entertainment, courtesy of Radio Plymouth will be provided from 6pm. As the night draws in and the temperature drops, this event is sure to warm up when the bonfire is lit at 7.30pm. The fireworks display will be set off from the Citadel at 8pm.

Bring your friends and family to explore our Christmas Market, pop along to the Santa’s Grotto or feast down on a mince pie. WINE TASTING WITH BABYLONSTOREN, SOUTH AFRICA - 24th November, 7 – 10pm / Le Vignoble, Royal William Yard

CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL - 26th – 27th November, 10am – 4pm / Saltram

Soak up the atmosphere among the stalls with warm glass of mulled wine and get lots ticked off your Christmas shopping list. You'll find unusual gifts, hand-crafted decorations, hot food and even your Christmas turkey. As you meander from stall to stall deciding who is on your 'naughty or nice' list, immerse yourself in the beautiful sounds of local choirs and the delicious smells of freshly cooked food.

The house doors will be open tempting you to delve in to 'The enchanted house'. The West Wing will be lit as though by candlelight leading you from room to room until you reach the bustle of the Great Kitchen.


PLYMPTON CHRISTMAS FAYRE - 28th November, 3 – 8pm / The Ridgeway, Plympton

The Ridgeway Plympton will again host a great night of festive fun and frolics with gifts and Christmas fair for all. Promoted by The Plympton Chamber of Commerce, there will be a Children's Lantern Parade, lots of great music, stilt walkers, street entertainers and Santa in a sidecar. The fun starts at 3pm to get the season under way and there's loads to see including the Christmas Lights Switch-on at 6.30pm
