With a focus towards building healthy relationships with landlords and ensuring them of a trustworthy ‘all-inclusive’ service is what makes Complete Property unique to other competitors in the Devon area. With four other offices spread across Devon, Complete have taken the plunge and have recently opened up their 5th office in Plymouth in October 2019. We spoke with Emma Foreman (Lettings Manager) to find out more about Complete.

Complete was founded in 2007 by, the current chairman, Will Smith where the business later branched out into the lettings industry. Emma has continued to grow this side of the business since joining in 2014. Their demand for clients in and around Plymouth was growing fast through word of mouth and recommendations so a decision to add Plymouth to their network of offices was made.

Their Plymouth office is shared with their recommended mortgage advisors – The Mortgage Advice Bureau, located in Crownhill. The office is simply just their hub, as Complete believe that a personal service is key to ensuring clients’ peace of mind. In normal times, their meetings are ‘out on the road’, meaning either at the clients’ property or out for a coffee. Complete property covers the majority of Devon with offices in Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Bovey Tracey, Exeter and their newest office being here in Plymouth.

After completing a University degree, Emma started in the lettings industry, collecting knowledge and experience straight away. She has been working for Complete for almost 7 years now and has enjoyed seeing the business grow and adapt to new situations. Emma’s role in the team is to run the lettings department for the whole company. This involves various trips across to their 4 other offices to ensure their lettings business is running smoothly. Building relationships with landlords is at the core of what Emma does. She aims to create a lettings environment and service that landlords can trust and therefore have peace of mind.

Complete have two main services for landlords on offer, one being Fully Managed and the other Tenant Find Only. These two packages are unique to the market as they are fixed-fee and are ‘all-inclusive’ with no hidden fees. If these services don’t offer what you desire, they are very flexible and can develop a package to suit each individual landlord.

The business operates on a referral and recommendations basis of which they have been highly commended for their service. Complete like to go above and beyond to help their customers whether that means a late-night phone call due to a client’s work commitments or helping to clean a property after tenants have vacated. To Complete, their landlords, tenants, sellers and buyers are all part of their Complete Family.

Covid-19 has drastically affected the property market as it was essentially ‘put on hold’ for three months. However, Emma has stated that she can see ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ due to the current sales and lettings market being extremely busy at present.

All 5 of their offices are now open however they are of course adhering to the ever-changing government guidelines. Face-to-face appointments have resumed but a face mask is to be worn at all times as well as appropriate social distancing.

The future of Complete is looking bright. They would like to continue to build their network of offices in Devon and continue to help sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants with their property journey. As our environment continues to change, especially for landlords who have to keep up to date with the latest legislative changes and updates, Complete wants to be at the forefront of helping landlords navigate their way through the changes and ensure they continue to trust the company to look after their investment.
