Best For Glamping: Elm Farm is a little gem tucked away between two beautiful seaside towns, Porthtowan and Portreath. Best for couples: The perfect place for an adults only getaway has to be The Yurt Retreat. Located in Crewkerne near Yeovil, the entire retreat is made up of four luxury, 20 foot yurts and a treehouse all positioned around a fire pit- so peace and quiet definitely comes to mind! Each yurt is styled differently to Scandinavian yellows and greys to rich vintage reds. A wood burner provides a warming focal point, and you have your own hairdryer, bedside lamps and bbq for the sunny afternoons. Beside each yurt is a personal bathroom with flushing toilet and sink. The lodge is a shared building between the yurts at the retreat, offering hot showers and kitchen facilities. Best for being local: A short trip across the Torpoint Ferry brings you to Whitsand Bay Fort, with unspoilt panoramic views over Whitsand Bay, the site offers both luxurious self catering cottages, and private touring and camping areas to let you be at one with nature. Located in a forgotten corner of Cornwall, this location will make you feel like you’re on holiday, whilst only being a short while away from home. To get to the beach it only takes a 4 minute walk, so take a stroll down the rural untouched paths and get exploring! If you feel peckish when you return, the site has its very own eatery- the Vaults restaurant offers menu choices that are extremely popular. this one takes little planning- so why not give it a try?!

Best for families: Little White Alice is a small sustainable holiday complex with just four rental properties set in a 28 acre smallholding, making it a quiet country retreat perfect for families. Best for being a hobbit house!: Who doesn’t want to stay in a hobbit house? Located on the grounds of Wheal Tor Hotel in Liskeard, these are truly a delightful way to camp out in style. Each house can accommodate 4 people and each have heat, light and sockets so you can charge up your phone if needed. The hobbit houses have a double bed, a single bed and a camp bed. There are shower facilities a short walk away, and a large communal bbq area- the perfect opportunity to meet new people! If you want to cook your own breakfast, you can buy Wheal Tor’s own bacon, sausages and free range eggs- or, if you don’t feel like cooking you can sample breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant.
